Update on School Based Rehabilitation Services
December 24, 2018
As of Jan. 1, 2019, ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development will take over management of contracts with existing service providers for the delivery of school-based rehabilitation services in publicly-funded schools in the regions of Halton, Peel, Dufferin, Woodbridge and West Etobicoke. These contracts were previously managed by the Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs).
Over the past number of months, ErinoakKids has been working closely together with the Local Health Integration Networks of Mississauga Halton, Central West, and Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant, all District School Boards and the service provider organizations to do everything we can to ensure students will not experience gaps or disruptions during the 2018-2019 school year as a result of this transfer.

Did you know?
Did you know that children who are blind learn about the parts of objects first because that is what they feel with their hands as they explore? Children who are able to see learn about an object, such as a chair, then learn about the parts of the object, such as the seat, back and legs.
