Mississauga

Songs and Stories    

$100 (8 weeks)
A group for children and caregivers who enjoy music, circle time, stories socializing and free play fun.

Participant criteria:
  • Ages: 2-5
  • Accompanied by a parent or caregiver
Mondays, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
April 29 – June 24 (no session May 20)


Little Chefs

$80 (6 weeks)
Introductory program to help participants develop the knowledge and skills in meal preparation. Simple weekly menus will be planned and prepared, while learning kitchen safety, hygiene and cleanup.

Participant criteria:
  • Ages: 8-12
  • Able to participate in group activities and discussions with minimal support
  • ​Able to demonstrate awareness of safety precautions in a kitchen environment Mississauga site

Mondays, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
May 6 –June 17 (no session May 20)


Seed to Feed Gardening

$50 (6 weeks)
A program for youth to explore the life cycle of various foods, from planting seeds to food on the table. Participants will gain knowledge of seasonal plants, and an appreciation for nature. They will also have the chance to explore the new Sensory Path at the Riverwood Conservancy, which includes animal tracks, a leaf jigsaw puzzle, and a hands-on display case featuring local animal skulls and pelts.

Where:
Riverwood Conservancy
4170 Riverwood Park Lane, Mississiauga

Participant Criteria:
  • Ages: 8-13
  • Able to participate in group activities and discussions with minimal support
  • Able to attend to a task for a minimum of five minutes
  • This program takes place within a large public conservation area and may not be appropriate for children who may try to leave the program area
Space is limited!​

Tuesdays, 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Halton 

Songs and Stories    

$100 (7 weeks)
A group for children and caregivers who enjoy music, circle time, stories socializing and free play fun.

Participant criteria:
  • Ages: 2-5
  • Accompanied by a parent or caregiver
Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
May 8 - June 19 (no session May 20)
 

Creation Station (Art Program)

$30 (6 weeks)
This program allows children to participate in various artistic activities that are designed to help stimulate the imagination, develop fine motor skills, learn new skills, and socialize. Activities will include working with paint, paper, sand, yarn, fabric, and other materials.

Participant criteria:
  • Ages: 8-12
  • Able to participate in group activities
  • Able to follow directions with or without support

Wednesdays, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
May 8 – June 12
 

Family Yoga

$140 per family (7 weeks)
(up to 4 family members - $40/extra family member)
This family yoga program, led by a certified yoga instructor from Yoga-Tastic 4 Kids, will provide the opportunity for all family members to practice relaxation, and learn breathing techniques and different yoga postures. Fall in love with meditation, freedom of movement and heart-centered living.
Yoga is safe, gentle and therapeutic for children of all ages and abilities.

Participant criteria:
  • Recommended Ages: 4 plus
  • Child must be accompanied by a parent

Thursdays, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
May 2 – June 20 (no session June 13)
 

Boccia Bratz

No cost (5 weeks)
Boccia is an adapted sport that can be played by all, no matter your ability and level. Work on your physical, social and mental skills while having fun and staying active with your friends. New activities each week will work on different skills such as communication, balance, and object manipulation (and more) so that athletes will gain physical literacy skills that will help them stay active through life!

Participant criteria:
Ages: 4 plus
  • Able to follow visual or verbal instructions with minimal support
  • Able to participate in group activities with minimal support
  • Able to attend to a task for a minimum of five minutes
  • Interested in learning about adapted sports

Thursdays, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.
May 9 – June 6
 

Bike Day

Come out and try adapted bikes and trikes for all ages! Vendors and therapists will be available to assist you.

Notes

  • Only current ErinoakKids clients are eligible to participate unless otherwise stated.  New participants may be asked to complete an assessment to ensure suitability for the program. Acceptance to the program is at the discretion of the facilitator.
  • Programs do not provide one-to-one support for attendant care (lifting, toileting, or administration of medication) or behavioral support. If assistance is required, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian or appointed attendant to fulfill these duties. Volunteers can only facilitate your child’s participation in activities and are not permitted to assist with these duties.
  • If registration is low the program may be canceled and fees will be fully refunded.
