When you receive notification that your child is ineligible for or is being discharged from the Autism Intervention Program (AIP), you may request an independent review of that decision. The Ministry of Children and Youth Services (MCYS) has developed an Independent Review Mechanism (IRM) for the AIP which is being coordinated by Contact Niagara, a non-profit agency funded by the Ministry. Visit Contact Niagara http://www.contactniagara.org/ for additional details.

The Independent Review Mechanism Guidelines can be found on the MCYS website at: www.children.gov.on.ca

Please see the documents below for further information about the Independent Review Mechanism.

Did you know?

Did you know that having your child seated on a low stool, bench or step (versus on the floor), can facilitate the learning of dressing skills?  By doing this you are increasing his or her postural stability and visual view of his or her hands.
