Learn about our Redevelopment Project

In 2011 the Provincial government approved the deeply anticipated ErinoakKids redevelopment project. The project allows us to consolidate our current patchwork of space into three facilities in Brampton, Oakville and Mississauga that will be designed to provide care for children and youth with a broad range of disabilities and special needs. The facilities are scheduled to open in early 2017.

    (Mississauga ON) – Six volunteers from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) put their creative skills to work today as they made decorations for the ErinoakKids float entry in Sunday’s Mississauga Santa Claus Parade. The 37-foot float will sparkle with a theme of “Christmas Candyland” and carry more than 30 people, including ErinoakKids clients and their families, volunteers, and staff.

    OAKVILLE — The Ministry of Children and Youth Services, ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development and Infrastructure Ontario announced today that Peel-Halton Partnership (PHP) has been selected to design, build and finance three new children’s treatment facilities and has signed a guaranteed maximum-priced contract to deliver the project.

    Y Abilities Programs are created for children & youth ages 6 and up with physical disabilities and their able bodied siblings. Through pool-based activity, participants learn how focus on their abilities while developing strength, independence and confidence. The Y Knot Abilities Programs are a place to meet friends and have fun. It’s a place they belong!

    Today at its 2014 Pride & Joy Awards dinner at the Oakville Conference Centre, ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development presented five awards to celebrate the achievement, determination and legacy of the more than 14,500 children and youth it serves each year. More than 300 people attended the ErinoakKids Pride & Joy Awards, presented this year by The Bank of Nova Scotia and hosted by Ben Mulroney, co-anchor of CTV’s ETALK.
