ErinoakKids is proud to be an Employer Partner with the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI), providing staff with educational and training resources that will support our ongoing efforts to deliver and enhance our diversity and inclusion initiatives.

As an ErinoakKids employee, staff have access to education webinars, toolkits, research, reports and other DEI resources to learn about best practices that staff will be able to apply and incorporate into all aspects of their role. 

ErinoakKids Workplace Culture Committee

Our Workplace Culture Committee is comprised of staff representing various departments across the organization, who champion and model ErinoakKids’ desired culture and values, helping create a positive, respectful and inclusive work environment for staff, clients and families.

They provide support, advice and recommendations with the goal of bringing our desired culture and values to life, respecting and fostering engagement, and supporting the development and sustainability of a high-performance and client-serving organization.

We offer competitive pay scales that reflect the healthcare/not-for-profit sectors, and conduct annual salary reviews. Part-time employees have the option to join in the benefit package or receive a percentage of their salary in lieu of benefits.

Paid Vacation & Float Days

Industry Leading Pension Plan – HOOPP

ErinoakKids’ defined pension plan is offered through the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP). This plan is mandatory for all full-time employees and optional for part-time staff.

Maternity/Parental Leave Top-Up

ErinoakKids tops up the amount of money a permanent part-time or full-time employee receives through employment insurance. This top-up payment effectively brings the employee’s remuneration while on pregnancy or parental/adoption leave to 70% of the employee’s base salary for a maximum period equivalent to 15 weeks.

Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential, third-party and voluntary support service that can assist employees in meeting a variety of life problems and challenges. All ErinoakKids employees, spouses/partners and dependent children living at home are eligible for its services.

Early and Safe Return to Work Program

ErinoakKids is committed to providing a safe workplace for employees. We will make every reasonable effort to provide suitable Return to Work opportunities for any staff member who is injured or becomes ill and is unable to perform normal work duties. Where feasible, ErinoakKids will provide temporary alternate work, depending on the employee’s abilities and ErinoakKids resources.

Ergonomic Consultation

Recognizing the musculoskeletal risks for many who work in a healthcare environment, ErinoakKids has an excellent service in place to proactively address employees’ needs.
