Seed to Feed Gardening Program Offered to ErinoakKids Clients This Fall

This recreational therapy program allows ErinoakKids clients to follow the life cycle of various foods, from planting seeds to food on the table. Participants will gain knowledge of seasonal plants and an appreciation for nature.
To enhance participants' gardening experience and their understanding of the natural world, they will have the chance to explore the new Sensory Path at Riverwood Conservancy which includes animal tracks, a leaf jigsaw puzzle and a hands-on display case featuring local animal skulls and pelts.
Mondays from September 9 to October 7, and Tuesday, October 15 (moved due to Thanksgiving)
4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
4170 Riverwood Park Lane, Mississauga
- Ages: 8-13
- Able to participate in group activities and discussion with minimal support
- Able to attend to a task for a minimum of five minutes
- This program takes place within a large public conservation area and may not be appropriate for children who may try to leave the program area
