Visiting ErinoakKids

Three-sites.pngErinoakKids provides services from four locations to 17,000 children and their families each year in Halton, Peel and Dufferin regions and beyond.

In January of 2018, ErinoakKids opened three new facilities in Oakville, Mississauga and Brampton. This enabled ErinoakKids to consolidate its patchwork of leased and retrofitted office and commercial space into three new facilities that are fully accessible and appropriately designed to provide care to children and youth with a broad range of disabilities and special needs. It was the first multi-site construction of a children’s treatment centre in the province. Learn more about the move in the video below.

These facilities allow us to:
  • Offer our complete range of services and supports at each site (with the exception of respite care and the therapy pool, which are located at the Brampton site, and a few specialty clinics), so that families do not have to travel multiple locations for care
  • Realize efficiencies so we can serve more children and youth, better and faster
  • Provide respite care at The Giampaolo Foundation Clinical Site (Brampton) with a 26-bed regional respite centre, including The Brannon Family Aspen Lodge and The Birch Lodge

Did you know?

Did you know that by introducing your child to early life skills from ages five to seven (such as helping to make your child’s bed, tidy his or her room, unpack and pack his or her school backpack, and set the table and clear dishes at the end of a meal) is preparing him or her for the responsibility of expanded home and community-based life skills as a young adult?
