COVID-19 Related Updates & Resources

In response to high infection rates and provincial restrictions associated with Wave 3 pandemic conditions, ErinoakKids will be offering all services virtually, with limited exceptions. On-site services will be limited to urgent medical, and rehabilitation appointments, and urgent audiology appointments, including Infant Hearing Screening. All other services will be offered virtually, when and as appropriate. This change is effective Monday, April 19, 2021 and will be in place until further notice.

If you booked an appointment prior to April 19, 2021, and you have not received a cancellation call, please call to confirm your appointment prior to going to a site.

Please note the following procedures and requirements for visiting ErinoakKids for on-site services:
  • Please do not come to any ErinoakKids location unless you have an appointment. If you are not sure if a previously booked appointment will still take place on site, please call to check.
  • Everyone entering our sites will be screened prior to admittance. Please refer to our list of screening questions.
  • All adults must wear a mask provided by ErinoakKids while they are on site. Children ages 2 and older are required to wear masks, if possible.
  • Please arrive on time for your appointment. Appointment end times are fixed, due to COVID cleaning protocols, so late arrival may mean a shortened appointment, or, if there is not sufficient time remaining for therapy/treatment, the appointment may be cancelled (certain clinical services appointments may be rescheduled).
  • Only one parent/caregiver may accompany a client to his/her appointment.
  • Everyone will be required to follow posted safety procedures at all times.
  • We continue to offer a comprehensive range of virtual services, as well as in person services.

Temporary Changes to SSAH, Enhanced Respite and Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities (ACSD) Programs

The Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) has announced that expenditures deemed admissible for the SSAH, Enhanced Respite and Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities programs are being temporarily expanded to accommodate activities, services and supports that can be purchased by program recipients and their families while at home. This is being done to better support the health and well-being of program recipients and their families while physically distancing. These temporary changes are effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice by the MCCSS. For full details on these changes, please visit MCCSS’ website.
