Youth Drop In (Mississauga)

ErinoakKids high school aged clients are invited to join the Youth Drop-In program that meets on the first Tuesday of every month starting September 4. Clients will enjoy music, food, games, fun and lots of laughs. A minimum of three staff, an attendant and volunteers will assist throughout the evening. The program will run at our Mississauga site and the cost is $3 paid at the door. For more details, please contact Anne Clements at 905-855-2690 Ext. 2414

CANCELLED - Communicating without Words

This workshop will teach you strategies to help further develop your child's non-verbal communication skills. Words have limitations and at times, non-verbal communication can be more effective. Non-verbal communication or "communicating without words" includes behaviours such as facial expressions, eyes, touching, and tone of voice. This workshop is recommended for families who have a child with Autism.

Youth Advisory Committee

Members are clients who are in high school and are between the ages of 14 and 19. The Youth Advisory Committee, or YAC, functions in an advisory capacity to different programs at ErinoakKids. This group also sponsors youth events. The YAC meets the third Tuesday of every month from September to June from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the Mississauga location. The cost is $4.00 for a pizza dinner.
