April 16, 2018
Looking for skaters and volunteers for a trial session for SkateABLE, an adapative, learn-to-skate program for those with developmental or physical disabilities. This session will take place on Sunday, April 22 at the South Fletcher's Sportsplex in Brampton.

This program is already running in Waterloo, Toronto, London, Ottawa and Guelph, and now we have the opportunity to bring it to Brampton & Mississauga!

In cooperation with ErinoakKids, we areSkateABLE is offering a FREE opportunity for children with physical and developmental disabilities to try a "learn-to-skate" class.

The trial session happens in the spring, with a view to setting up lessons in the fall. Skaters work with volunteers on a 1:1 basis.

All adaptive equipment (walkers, harnesses) is supplied. Skaters must provide their own non-adaptive equipment (ie. figure or hockey skates and a CSA approved hockey helmet)
