Overnight Respite

We offer two overnight respite programs:

 

Medically Fragile Technologically Dependent Respite Camp (Adventure Camp)

Registration for the Summer Enhanced Respite Adventure Camp (MFTD) is NOW OPEN!
ErinoakKids is now taking registrations for the Enhanced Respite Adventure Camp (MFTD). The weekly summer camp will take place at the Regional Respite Centre, located at 10145 McVean Road, Brampton, Ontario during July and August.  

We invite all campers to join us for a week of fun activities including swimming, arts and crafts, outdoor play and much more! Children 0-18 with Enhanced Respite Funding are welcome to participate.  This summer camps is an overnight camp ($350/week) with day camp as an option ($250/week or $50/day). There are limited spots available so check out the camp dates and choose your week today!

A respite camp for children who have the enhanced respite funding, and are identified as MFTD. The program operates on designated weekends and during the summer. Families may register their child to attend either the overnight or day-only option.
 
Age: birth to age 18
 
Open to: Children identified by the Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) as medically fragile and/or technologically dependent (MFTD) and living in their home with their parents in Peel, Halton or Dufferin are eligible for the Respite Camp.
 
Availability: Clients can schedule weekend camps during the school year or week-long camps in the summer. Day camps or overnight camps available.
 
Location: The Giampaolo Foundation Clinical Site (Brampton). The site houses a 26-bed regional respite centre that inlcudes two wings: The Brannon Family Aspen Lodge and The Birch Lodge

Referral: Clients can be referred either internally, externally or by a parent. Clients must be identified as eligible to receive enhanced respite funding by CCAC. ErinoakKids staff members or community partners are encouraged to complete the referral form and fax it to the attention of the Camp Coordinator for consideration at 905-794-0547.

Referral: Clients can be referred either internally, externally or by a parent. Clients must be identified as eligible to receive Enhanced Respite Funding by a LHIN Care Coordinator. Clients living in Peel, Halton and Dufferin regions are welcome to apply. Parents can complete the Selection Form and Camp Application online for direct consideration. ErinoakKids staff members or community partners are encouraged to complete the referral form and fax it to the attention of the Clinical Services Supervisor, Karen Jacksteit  for consideration at 905-794-0547.


Non Medically Fragile Technologically Dependent Respite Camp (Funfest Camp)

A weekend-long respite camp for clients who present with significant physical disabilities. Families may register their child to attend either the overnight or day-only option.
 
Age: 6 to 18 years of age
 
Open to: Children with physical disabilities and/or significant developmental disabilities, living at home in Peel, Halton or Dufferin regions. The children who attend this program do not qualify for enhanced respite funding but do require physical support and supervision due to medical needs.  
 
Availability: The NonMFTD camp runs during the school year, there is no summer camp. Families may register their child to attend either the overnight or day-only option.
