Recreational Respite

New for summer 2026: Join us for Camp Erin! With a focus on fun and engaging activities, Camp Erin offers 1:1 support for children up to age 17. 

Referrals will open March 12. Spaces are limited! 

Who is Camp Erin for?

Camp Erin is available for children living at home in Peel or Halton. 

The first two weeks of Camp Erin are for children with complex medical or behaviour needs requiring specialized equipment or nursing support. Camp will be held at our specialized Regional Respite Centre in Brampton. 

Through the rest of the summer, Camp Erin will be held across our sites for children with challenging behaviour needs, autism or other development disabilities that make it difficult to access community based programs. 

Please read below for more information.

1. Medically Fragile Technologically Dependent, complex medical/behaviour needs and significant disabilities:

  • The first two weeks of Camp Erin (July 6 to 10 and July 13 to 17) will be held at our specialized Regional Respite Centre in Brampton.
  • This session is designed for children with a Medically Fragile Technologically Dependent (MFTD) designation, as well as those with complex medical or behavioural needs and significant physical, developmental, or neurological disabilities.
  • This camp is for children who require medical equipment to support physical needs, medication administration and nursing support.

2. Challenging behaviour needs, autism and/or development disabilities

  • This session is for children with challenging behaviour needs, autism and/or development disabilities (including cognitive or mobility complexities) that make it difficult to access community based programs. 
  • Camp Erin will provide recreational respite at each of our sites throughout the summer:

Cost:

$500/week

Time
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. 

Referrals

The referral form will be available on this page at 8:30 a.m. March 12, 2026. Please submit only one form per child, per session. Spaces are limited and will only be confirmed once payment has been received and a signed Terms of Engagement has been submitted.   





Therapeutic Respite


Available as part of the Urgent Response Service (URS) of the Ontario Autism Program (OAP).
